About

Nicole grew up in Minnesota in the age of Ninja Turtles and Transformers. She got into storytelling and art as a kid and clung to them for dear life, starting her first novel in high school and amassing a portfolio of art across several mediums. Her art and writing frequently intersect, as she loves anything scifi/fantasy/horror and often draws characters from her fantasy series. Her day job is tech support, but she spends most of her free time writing with an aim at publication and takes art commissions and ad design and illustration jobs on the side. She also writes and draws comics with the Black Hat Collective, a Twin Cities based comic making group she helped to found.

Nicole has a BA in Creative Writing/English from Hamline University and is a degree candidate in Hamline's MFA program for Creative Writing, focusing in fiction. She is currently searching for representation for her fantasy series and hopes to one day be a decently-reviewed SF/fantasy author with a small cult following. Her longest-standing loves (aside from art and writing) are Mexican food, cartoons, and Joss Whedon.
